Established in 2005 by Peter Robertson (BA '92, MA '95, MBA '05) and officially recognized by the Fresno State Alumni Association in 2006, the Bulldog Pride Scholarship Fund (BPF) is an endowed scholarship that provides an annuity to support students at Fresno State.

The BPF scholarship’s criteria is that a Fresno State incoming or returning student with good academic standing that has demonstrated pride and/or volunteer, service in the community be selected as its recipient(s). The BPF also bestows the TimeOut Spirit Award to the student(s) that performs as Fresno State's mascot; the GSA Network Award to a student(s) affiliated with this organization; the Harvey Milk Humanics Award to a student(s) completing the Humanics’ Certification Program; the ASI President’s Award to Fresno State’s student body president; the USP President’s Award to the student elected president of this organization; and the Drum Major Award to the senior drum major of the Bulldog Marching Band.

The BPF is administered by the Scholarship Office, Division of Student Affairs, at Fresno State. The office is located in Joyal Administration, Room 274.

In compliance with federal and state legislation, all Bulldog Pride Fund at Fresno State applicants and awardees are considered without regard to: sex, race, age, color, creed, religion, national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, disability or covered veterans status. The BPF actively seeks and encourages applicants from all segments of our diverse society.

The BPF is maintained under the auspices the Fresno State Alumni Association, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (TAX ID# 94-1085570); as well as Registered  with the Office of the Attorney General, State of California.

The earnings (interest) of the BPF are used to fund student scholarships, while the principal continues to earn interest in perpetuity for the funding of future scholarships.

One-hundred percent (100%) of each and every donation is directly deposited into an endowment account that is invested in a diverse portfolio with the assistance and guidance of Merrill Lynch (Fresno, Calif.), one of the world's leading financial management and advisory companies. 

No percentage of any donation is used for operating and/or related administrative expenses.
